They stay at Gundicha temple for 7 days before coming back to the original temple. The glimpse of Lord Jagannath while sitting on this rath accompanied by the celestial wheel called the Sudarshan Chakra is considered to be extremely pious amongst Hindus. Millions of devotes from all the corners of the world gather in Puri during this festival to pull the chariots of the lords and have their glimpse.
