Mayashanker Verma
Mayashanker Verma, Chairman of T K International Limited (Toshali Group) joined on 02.09.2010 as director and subsequently was elected as the Chairman of the company, a career banker with 45 years experience of working in the Indian financial sector has held some of the senior most and critical positions in the country’s financial systems as well as its regulatory regimes. In a career spanning over more than four decades with the State Bank of India, India’s largest commercial bank, Mr Verma’s experience has been multi-level and wide ranging on different facets of banking at national and international levels encompassing commercial, developmental and investment banking as well as asset management and capital market operations. He was the Chairman of the State Bank of India. Mr Verma has special understanding of total financial systems and strutting and growth management of such systems in developing countries. The IDBI under the Chairmanship of Mr Verma recorded very strong growth to become a leading Private Sector Bank in India. Mr Verma also acted as Honorary advisor to the Reserve Bank of India during which time he undertook several important policy related studies / projects from the Governor of the Re serve Bank of India. He has held directorship of J & K Bank and Power Trading Corporation in the past and presently is also a director in Moser Baer Projects Pvt. Ltd.T. Banambar Patra
T. Banambar Patra, the Managing Director and a member of the Board was born in the pilgrimage town of Puri, Orissa, India. By at the age of 20, Mr. Patra had graduated in Commerce and started his first partnership business in wholesale & retail trading.Mr. Patra always keen to develop tourism and his passion led to diversification into the hotel business. He launched Orissa's first World Class Resort, Toshali Sands, in 1985. This was a landmark in the tourism industry of the state.
Thereafter Shri T. Banambar Patra travelled extensively all over Europe, America & the Far East, promoting tourism and thereby increasing the flow of inbound traffic to India.
He also took a degree in resort operations & marketing, passing with distinction, from world's number one institute "Ecolehoteliere" in Lausanne Switzerland, the undoubted leaders in the hospitality industry. No wonder that Toshali Sands was the first four star with ethnic look resort in India.Toshali Royal View started operations in 1999, making Toshali one of the few resort chains that offer both the serene beauty of the mountains and the turbulent charm of the sea to its loyal guests at Shimla and Puri.
D. P. Bagchi
Director of TK International Limited (Toshali Group) Mr. D P Bagchi was the former chief secretary and Chief Development Commissioner Government of Orissa an elite retired ( IAS) civil servant of India. Mr Bagchi has rich experience and has worked in various positions in the central and state government. He was Chief Advisor and Secretary to Government of India Planning Commission.He holds a Postgraduate Degree in Economics and Public Administration and Master's Degree in Economics from Utkal University and Master of Philosophy in Public Administration from Punjab University, brings with him decades of practical experience in all aspects of the Indian experience. M.A. in Economics and MPhil in Public Administration. Secretary to Govt of India and Chief Secretary, Orissa. He is also director of Bharat Power Limited.
Harsh Gupta
Born on 15th October, 1942, Mr. Harsh Gupta is a retired senior Indian civil servant, belonging to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), batch of 1966. He is an MA in Political Science (Allahabad) and M.A. in Economics (Development Studies) from Manchester University and belongs to an illustrious civil service family of North India. Mr. Gupta served as Chief Secretary, Himachal Pradesh ; Chairman HP State Electricity Board Electricity Board, Addl.Chief Secretary (Power and Industries) and Managing Director of the HPFC (State Financial Corporation). Besides initiating power sector reforms, he was actively involved with State's industrial policy and sector, promoting SME and private sector tourism development including promoting many hotel projects. Associated with apex industry associations like CII, FICCI & PHDCCI for much of his career, he functioned on the Boards of most of the State’s public enterprises. In the Federal Government Mr. Gupta served in the Ministry of Commerce as Executive director, India Trade Promotion Organisation, Deptt. of Defence Production, (Public Enterprises division) and Ministry of Steel and Mines, Post-retirement Mr. Gupta functioned as Special Advisor, GOHP. On relocating to Delhi/Gurgaon he has been working as development sector consultant/ private sector corporate advisor and was assigned as PSE specialist in ADB’s Assam Governance Program in Guwahati.Mr. Harsh Gupta has traveled widely in India and abroad, and is a member of many prestigious institutions. He is associated with TK International Limited as Director since 2009.
S. M. Gani
Shri S. M. Gani retired as the Deputy Director General, Tourism Promotion Board, Govt. of India. He has spent a lifetime in the Tourism sector, having served with the Govt. of India as well as the Govt. of Orissa for 36 years. He was the Deputy Secretary, Department of Tourism. Corporate Secretary, OTDC. and Principal, Institute of Hotel Management, Kolkata. His post-retirement plans include the promotion of Buddhist Piligrimage Tourism in the East, promotion of beach Resorts in Orissa, Eco and Adventure Tourism in the Himalayas and a world class institute of Hotel Management. Mr. Gani is incharge of planning of new hotels and resorts in the country.T. Raghunath Patra
Shri T Raghunath Patra has wide and varied experience in the wholesale, retail, travel & tourism industry, extending over many decades. Apart from this he has considerable experience in the area of exports. His experience and strategic inputs has led to the increased sales of the resorts.T. Narsingh Patra
Shri T Narsingh Patra looks after the Sales & Operations of the company's Resort Division. Shri Patra is a professional in Resort operations with in-depth knowledge of the industry. He has traveled abroad extensively and was trained in operations and sales at the Hotel Management School, Lausanne, Switzerland. He is a regular visitor to important Travel Marts in Europe, which keeps him constantly updated in innovations in the travel and hospitality trade. Shri Patra is heading the marketing division of Toshali Tours and Travels.Harihar Patra
Shri Harihar Patra is a Commerce graduate from Berhampur University of Orissa. With a postgraduate degree from IIM Ahmedabad, he has trained extensively in Marketing, Sales, Finance and Cost Control. He is presently looking after the Marketing & Sales of the Group.Shri Patra is also deeply involved in promoting textiles for the foreign market. As a first step he is leading Toshali’s initiatives in this area. Shri Patra is heading the marketing and sales of Toshali's Group resorts and hotels.
