Welcome to Toshali Jungle Lodge, Simlipal

Simlipal biosphere reserve is an UNESCO recognized one of the 14 biosphere reserves of India. Spread in an immense area of 2750 sq km of the Chottanagpur plateau the reserve is located in the Mayurbhanj district of Orissa. Apart from being the homeland of a variety of flora and fauna the reserve is of an immense importance for balancing the geomorphic and biological cycle of the region. The significance of the reserve got intensified with its participation in the Project Tiger campaign a movement which has been launched to save the endangered National Animal of India. The wildlife sanctuary is also known for its elephant and mugger crocodile population. With deforestation, population boom and poaching, India is facing a serious threat of extinction for many of its endemic species, the wildlife sanctuaries and national parks like Simlipal are making immense contribution towards checking the disappearance of these almost extinct species through extensive research and successful breeding.

Toshali Jungle lodge is strategically placed near the Ramatirtha entrance of the Simlipal Wildlife sanctuary. The tactical location of the resort enables you to gaze the wild animals from your windows when they visit the Ramatirtha River to quench their thirst. The reserve holds many beautiful assets beneath its treasure, it has the wonderful Joranda and Barehipani falls on one side while the Kiriburu and the Methasani Mountain peeks overlooks from the other. The incredible flora and fauna and the mesmerizing geography with the colorful huts of the local tribes attracts tourists of all flavors from Adventurous to botanist and from recluse to socialites.
